Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 24, 2026

This policy explains how Practical Woman handles information on its recipe website at practicalwoman.net/. The publishing contact is KOTA International Publishing Service, The fountain of roses Neighborhood Beam Street 7 / B. For privacy questions or requests about your information, email info@practicalwoman.net or visit our Contact page.

Comments and photos you submit

When you leave a comment, WordPress receives your comment, the name and email address you provide, and technical information such as your IP address and browser information. We use this information to process comments, review submissions, respond where appropriate, and help protect the site from abuse. Your email address is not displayed with your comment.

Your display name, comment, and any approved recipe photos become publicly visible after moderation. Submit only photos you have the right to share and avoid including people, private documents, or other personal information in your images. We resize and re-encode submitted images and remove embedded location metadata. Pending photos are not made publicly available.

Publicly posted information can be copied by other people. Removing it from our website cannot remove copies already saved elsewhere.

Member accounts and Recipe Box

If you choose to create a member account, we store your email address, display name, account details, and the recipes you save to your personal Recipe Box. WordPress stores a password hash rather than a readable password. We send account-related messages, including the email link used to verify mailbox access and choose your password, and password-reset messages you request. Registration does not enroll you in a newsletter or grant access to purchases made on external platforms.

Your saved recipe list is private to your account. Your display name may be public when you comment. Login cookies keep you signed in, and temporary anti-abuse records help limit repeated registration and sign-in attempts. The website does not offer a website-address field in member profiles.

You can update your display name from Account. Email-address changes are handled through our contact address so they can be verified. Eligible reader accounts can be permanently deleted from Account after confirming the current password. This removes the account and Recipe Box, removes photos attached to its recipe comments, and anonymizes those comments; the comment text may remain. Contact us if the text itself contains personal information that needs review. Existing backups may retain data until their normal replacement cycle.

Messages and technical information

If you email us, we receive your address, your message, and any information you choose to include. Email and hosting providers process information as needed to deliver messages, host the website, maintain backups, and protect their services. Hosting systems may record technical access and security logs. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, or unnecessary sensitive information.

Cookies and browser storage

WordPress uses cookies for functions such as account login and session security. Browser settings let you block or delete cookies, although some functions may stop working. The site’s optional Practical Woman product announcement, when enabled, uses local browser storage to remember when it was shown so it is not repeated on every visit. Clearing browser storage resets that preference. This announcement preference is not an advertising profile.

Advertising and Google

Google advertising has not been enabled in the current website implementation. Before introducing advertising, we will update this policy to reflect the advertising providers and consent controls actually in use.

When Google advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to personalize ads using those visits. You can manage personalized advertising through Google My Ad Center and learn more at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can also visit YourAdChoices for participating advertising providers’ opt-out choices. These choices do not necessarily remove all advertising.

External shops and sharing links

Our Shop links to external sales platforms. Orders, payments, deliveries, and any information entered there are handled by that platform under its own terms and privacy policy. This website does not collect payment-card details for those purchases. When you follow a social sharing link, the selected service receives the recipe link and may receive its title or image address; that service applies its own privacy practices.

Keeping and removing information

Comments and their related approved photos may remain with the recipe unless removed. Correspondence, moderation records, and technical records are retained for the purposes described above, subject to service-provider backup and retention practices. We do not promise a fixed deletion period for every type of record.

You can contact us to request access to, correction of, or removal of personal information you submitted, including comment photos. We may need to verify the request. Some records may need to be retained for security, legal, or administrative reasons. Photo requests are reviewed along with the associated comment.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our data practices or website features change. The date above identifies the latest revision.

Optional recipe videos

Some recipes offer YouTube or Facebook video players. Our player area connects to the video provider only after you choose to load it. Loading a player lets your browser communicate with that provider, which may process network and device information and use its own storage or cookies. The provider controls video availability and playback. You can also open the source link instead. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Meta’s Privacy Policy (links open a new tab).

Optional email newsletter

Newsletter signup is separate from accounts and contact messages. We store your email address, subscription state, request and confirmation times, and the subscription statement you accepted privately in WordPress. A confirmation email is sent before activation. Short-lived hashed network and email identifiers limit repeated requests. Pending confirmation links expire after 48 hours. No email is added to an external newsletter provider by this signup system. You can cancel a request or unsubscribe using the link in the confirmation email. Future newsletters will include an unsubscribe link. Records remain private until reviewed and removed when no longer needed. For access or deletion requests, contact info@practicalwoman.net.

Aggregate website analytics

We measure approximate page views, device groups, broad referral sources, active reading and interaction counts within this website. Our local analytics does not use cookies or long-term visitor profiles. Public geolocation database files and trusted Cloudflare network lists are periodically downloaded by the server. A page-and-time marker in session storage limits repeated counts in the same tab for 30 minutes. For approximate daily visitor counts, we store a secret-keyed daily digest derived from the network address and browser user-agent for no more than three calendar days. Daily digests cannot be linked across dates; aggregate daily totals remain. Shared networks, changing addresses and browsers can affect this estimate. We derive approximate country, region and city locally from the DB-IP City Lite database. Visitor IP addresses are not sent to the database provider. We record referral host and a sanitized path without query strings or fragments, UTM source/medium/campaign/content labels, viewed paths, browser/operating-system groups, browser language, hourly totals, entry-page estimates and interaction counts. Sensitive-looking URL paths are omitted. Raw IP addresses and user agents are not stored in analytics records. A short-lived, secret-keyed network hash helps limit abuse and expires after five minutes. We honor Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Daily aggregate counts remain until removed by the site administrator. These figures are estimates, not unique visitor profiles.

Contact form messages

When you use our contact form, we store your name, email address, subject and message privately in WordPress so we can handle your inquiry. A notification may also be sent through our email provider. Contact details are not published or added to a newsletter. We use short-lived, hashed network and email identifiers to limit repeated submissions. Messages and internal reply drafts remain available to authorized administrators until removed when no longer needed. For access or deletion requests, contact info@practicalwoman.net.

Google Analytics and advertising

We also use Google Analytics to understand website usage and Google AdSense to support this website through advertising. These Google services may process network/device information, page visits and interactions, and may use cookies or similar technologies according to your choices and Google settings. This processing is separate from our local aggregate analytics. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google Privacy Policy.
